  • Thanks for the encoragment--!   Gosh,....10 lbs...in one week-That's quite a lot!    Usually, the amt. is between 1-2 lbs...a week.

    Anyway--  Saturday..(tomorrow)-  I'll check my weight.  Keep in touch....I'll keep you guys posted-

  • Welcome to Slim-fast! I dont think my results are typical, but they are encouraging :) I just finished my first week, following the diet to a T (havent cheated once) and working out 45 min, 5 days a week. My one week weigh-in was this morning and I have lost 10 lbs! A lot of ppl say it takes them much longer, so I wouldnt count on losing it that fast, but if you work hard then you should see good results for sure! Good luck :)

  • If you follow the meal plan to the letter, it shoul donly take a month or 2.

    Welcome to the program.  If you are walking consistently (say a minimum of four days a week for around an hour) cutting out some of the sweets, and following the plan, you should be at your goal weight in a few months or so.  I just got a treadmill and fully committed myself to the exercise part of the plan (which I had not ever done before) and walking only three days a week I am shedding the weight much more quickly...around two pounds a week.  I never believed it would work and now I can't wait to get on the treadmill.  I'm also able to follow the plan in my own way...I can now eat regular foods and some sweets.  I just have to be ever watchful of my bad habits returning.

    It sounds like you have a very solid plan and if you are fully committed to it and the exercise you will do great.  Best of luck on your journey.

    Robert here.   Read my bio.   I'm 5'9"....in my 50s-!

    Always was trim, slim.   In college--120s....in my 20s & 30s...always...between 128-136.

    Then...the "forties", as a teacher.,..I was always....139-144.

    Now....Im in my mid 50s...& not walking like I used to-  sitting by computer-eating pastries, ice cream, candy, soft drinks--

    Saw my Dr. yesterday...(Friday..16 Oct)--& when I got on the scale---nearly fainted....167 lbs--!

    My heaviest ever!   Decided to start the "Slim Fast" plan...today!   Want to feel better...look better..& fit into my size 32 or 34 inch waist jeans-!  And my goal wt is 144....lose 23 pounds!

    Gonna use the Slim Fast Drinks...meal bars & meal plan...1,500 calories/day...& walk every day!

    Hoping to hear from anyone......who is also getting started OR who has lost some weight!  

    How long will it take to lose....my first 10 lbs?  They say...1 to 1 and a half lbs a week....(4-6/month)-Hoping I can!

     Need some encouragment!   Seems like such a long road...ahead!    Regards-Robert
