Great job Teri for getting back on the bandwagon! I remember you posting back in the spring, good to see you back.

I feel like I made a huge accomplishment today. I was feeling cranky, irritated with everything, achey, wanting to lay in bed all day and eat everything in site. Instead of leaving work early (which I could have today), I got on the gazelle at lunch time for 25 minutes. I felt so much better after a little exercise, I couldn't believe it! It cured my cravings and I was much happier.

Good luck for weigh in this week!

Re: Biggest Winner weigh in Friday November 6

It just might mean your body is adjusting to the new routine also. Some times it takes awhile to see any changes. That is why you have to look at the scale as a tool and not as a way to say you had a good week or a bad week. No matter what your doing if it is working towards eating healthier and being at a heathier weight then you are working in the right direction. I have been on the slim fast plan for almost a year now but slacked off during the summer because of working lots of overtime and just too tired at the end of the day to work out. I am now back to walking 4 miles every other day and also doing some strength training three times a week. Last week I missed one day of strength training because of car problems but, I still did some exercise. I never quit on the eating healthy even during my working long hours but I put on 15 pounds of what I took off over the winter so I am working on getting back to where I was when I started back to work. I haven't lost any weight yet either and I have been working out for 2 weeks now and the weight isnt' coming off very easy for me either. I know that musles weigh more than fat and I know I am putting on musles because I can see a difference in the way my pants fit. So it takes time for the scales to keep up with the musle weight. Hope this helps you stay encourage and yet gives you encouragement to stay working out and eating right!. Teri

Re: Biggest Winner weigh in Friday November 6

Hi all im new to the SF group. i weigh in on Fridays regardless may i join you ? .I stayed the same i started out 213 & still am 213 i need to kick it up a notch wouldn't ya say ?

Re: Biggest Winner weigh in Friday November 6

Hi everyone,I am only into the group for 3 days now . Have really been careful of what went into my mouth the last 2 days. I started out at 183, today I weighed in at 181. thats good if I can not regain it again before next weigh in. It always seems to come back even if I dont do anything different. I also have a problem of retaining water sometimes so its hard to tell if I really lost weight or only water. However, I do feel more confident now that I have a support team behind me. I am wishing all of you a successful week.

I have cracked down again and had a good week. I hit 169 this morning! I wanted to jump for joy! 4 pounds to go, but will probably try for 5 more once I hit that. At work this week, we found a gazelle for free down the street and we decided to bring it in the office and for the last few days have been doing 20 min at lunch time. Makes me feel good, because there have been 2 days this week that my daughter had basketball practice and I didn't have time to exercise. At least I got 20 min at lunch-better than nothing!

2 1/2 weeks to Thanksgiving! I'm going to set a goal for myself and let's see if I can do it! My last 4 pounds in 2 1/2 weeks! Sounds tough saying it "out loud" (well writing it down anyway.) If I push hard I think I can do it. How about a little competition? Do you wanna see how much we can do until Thanksgiving? I'm game if you are. Here's to us! Have a great week!

Re: Biggest Winner weigh in Friday November 6

Hi I was doing pretty good until my schedule got messed up last night. This morning I didn't get my exercise in and now I am finishing baking the cookies that I started last night I have already had one so going to try and resist any more. MY daughter's car broke down last night so this morning I got up to find someone who can fix it. That is why my schedule got messed up. I am going to get into my exercise gear though after I get done cooking the cookies and try and walk my 4 miles with Leslie. I did that yesterday so going to try it again to day and maybe get into my wii active also. That way I will relieve some stress and work off them calories I just ate. All we can do is keep plugging at this weight loss thing and keep making changes that work for us. Teri

Biggest Winner weigh in Friday November 6

Hi all, Well not a good week for me. I am up 1 lb this week. I think it all started on Saturday. We went to breakfast at a buffet. And as usual I overate. I need to get more SF items, I think that might be a problem also. I am going to try and get out and walk this weekend-- highs in the 60's and no rain. I feel like I'm retaining water. I guess maybe menopause will do that. I've been drinking water. For snacks, I have had low fat crackers-triscut and 2 slices of 2% cheese. Maybe it's the salt in the crackers. If I have chips they are baked or low fat. I will take this weekend and come up with a better plan.

Good luck to all this week. It will be a good one because WE ARE SO TOTALLY WORTH IT!!!
