  • Bunny---WTG I knew you could do it.  I am the same again. 137.  I have had some candy, but not  a lot. We didn't have any here. I have been getting from the homes I am working in. I have allowed myself 1 peice a day. I need to get more fruits and vegies. They are so expensive here now.

     

    I am so happy for you Bunny.   I have been kinda down lately, haven't been very motivated.  I am going to start counting calories again, and see what happens. I can't afford the SF bars and shakes. I have to just get good meals in.

  • Well, so far so good.  My kids dumped out the candy on my bed yesterday and I was looking through it with them.  I found one piece that I couldn't resist, but I haven't eaten it yet.  It's sitting next to my bed for the first time I crave it.  Haven't really cared much about it so far. 

    I stepped on the scale on Saturday and weighed 170.  That's the first time I have seen that number in close to 10 years.  I checked on my BMI calculator and it said 24 and within the normal range.  I couldn't believe it.  For me, it always said 167 to be normal weight range so I was very surprised to see it say normal!  I think I'm going to jump up and down screaming when I get under 170!  I'm so excited to see the scale moving again.  It sure gets you motivated after going a few weeks of not seeing anything move.  5 pounds to go! 

    Char, I hope you had a good weigh in also!  You can do it!  You already hit your goal which is amazing.  Anything now is just an added bonus.

  • Heres a suggestion, drink a gallon of water to keep you full, so you stay away from sweets... If you trick your tummy that, your constantly full you will have no need for sweets so your kids can continue eating candy, so you wont be tempted.

  • Wow!  I'm first!

    I was back down to where I should have been last week-171.  Halloween is tomorrow and that will be tough.  My kids always have tons of candy, and although I am pretty good about not gorging myself, I know I will want to snack here and there all day long.  I found on another site a good idea.  I'm going to pack up 200 calorie baggies and allow myself to have 1 a day.  Maybe cut back alittle somewhere else, or make sure I exercise that day.  I don't know, I can not go to the store and buy chocolate, but when it's already in the house it's tough!!

    I'm hoping to get down under 170 by this time next week.  Good luck!
