  • So, it sounds like we made it through the long holiday weekend without too much trouble, huh? Tomorrow brings a new week to regroup our individual efforts to work on our goals. I'm going to have to continue to concentrate on my goal, so that I don't regain. I'm still thinking of getting a Wii + Active program. It seems that Active is a popular version, better than the Wee Fit (since Active "loops" the exercises, but Fit needs to be continually reset). [If I've got that straight!] School starts up here in a month, so I'll have some quiet time around the house to do some things FOR ME! Like, maybe the Wii Active exercises....?.....

  • Betty Rodriguez:
I took the measuring tape to my bust since I've lost weight, and I went from 42 in. to 40 in.
    Well well well, I went from a 36 to a 34. :(

  • That is awesome news Betty!!!  Your hard work is showing great results!!!!!  I am so proud of you and all the hard work and also encouraged to keep working hard myself!  Thanks for sharing!!!

    Hugs to ya!  Cindi

Life is what you make it...so LIVE WELL!!
  • Ok ladies I'm about to share something personal with you all, so hope y'all can handle it  :-)  , it really is an accomplishment. Today is the first time I took the measuring tape to my bust since I've lost weight, and I went from 42 in. to 40 in. I just look more proportioned now. Before when the gowns fit in the bust, they would be too big in the hips. So, I went ahead and ordered 2 dresses online after measuring. They should both fit now in the bust and hips. I'm starting to get excited again about my son's big day. I want him to be proud of me on this special day, I'm very proud of him.  Sending out some love to my ahoha group of friends!    Betty

  • Good Morning one and all!!!  I hope that everyone had a great 4th of July.  I enjoyed probably one more bite of food than I should have, but we had so much good food that it was hard to pass up.  But, that's okay, I'll be out shortly getting in my 3 miles walk and back on track today.  And I know that cookouts like that are once in a while so I have the comfort of knowing whatever damage was done yesterday can be undone and not repeated for a long, long while.  Focus, focus, focus...positive, positive, positive.  You´re right:11721

Dee Dee...I'm so proud of you. 20 lbs and reaching your goal.  You've worked very hard and the results have paid off.  You are a tremendous inspiration to me!!!

Kelly...I know exactly how you feel!  Giving up is never an option.  Going forward is the only way!  And here's the great thing...we are in this together and I know that together, we can do this!!!!

Teri...that is so cool that you got holiday pay and time off!  And I can tell ya...metal roofs are awesome.  We just had one put on our house this year and it was the best investment!  Of course, we don't have a problem with snow...but the wind was tearing the shingles off left and right.  But, now...it's great and especially when it rains...it's the perfect lullaby and I sleep so good!!!  LOL  I'm glad that you and your boyfriend had a great time!  Don't sweat the extra pounds.  I know that you are so diligent in your walking that you will be right back down in no time!!!  Just imagine all of us walking with you girl!!!!!  I am here cheering you on my friend!!!

Gwyn...girl, I wished I could say don't be angry at the scale...but I don't know how many times I've wanted to take a hammer to my scales!  LOL  I've seen your pictures and girl, you look fabulous!!!  And I know that as soon as the puppies get on up a little, you'll be right back to walking those pounds off.  You and Teri are so awesome and you guys are why I make sure that I walk every single day my three miles.  I walk them no matter what and I have you both to thank for that!  So, hang in there girl!!!!!

To all the other regulars...I hope that your weekend is going great!!!  Know that I'm here rooting for you, too!!!

To Alaa and Valerie...welcome, welcome, welcome!!!  And to any new ones I may have missed a huge welcome!!!

Hugs and love to all!!!!!  See you:9828

  • Congradulations! Dee Dee  I am glad that you met your goal.  I am still on the yo yo thing.  I am trying to get back into walking after work but, with the weather here in Maine being muggy and rainy every day mostly here in the month of June haven't done much.  I am hoping to purchase the wii fit and do that on weekends when at home.   I would like to try the wii active it sounds like fun.  Then I could do my Leslie Sanone dvd and the wii and might just get a little more active here in the winter.  Well, take care and hope your maintaince program goes as well for you as your weight loss.  Talk with you later!  Teri

Time to start a new thread, because #9 is getting too long to keep track of the Group's names. Welcome to Valerie, she's our newest. Valerie, we try to post daily, or as often as possible. It helps us to be accountable to ourselves, and to keep moving ahead towards our goals.

For those of you who missed, I just MADE MY GOAL WEIGHT! A 20 pound loss in 4 months. I am determined to keep it off, so will be here on SF for awhile more.

Be sure to read the previous thread (Aloha Group #9) to catch up on the latest from everyone, and then post your new stuff here in thread #10. Hope everyone is having a good weekend and concentrating on eating right. :)  DeeDee
