  • Oh Gloria, how wonderful for you .. a dual master's degree. You must be sooooooo proud!  You know, if you can do that then you know you can do anything you set your mind to!! Congrats!

And you are now into the Fabulous 50's, another great marker of life. Congrats on that, too. I'm half way through my 50's and really enjoying this decade of life.

Well, I am no longer turning 50, I hit the 50 mark on June 18, and I weighed in today...with all the celebrating I have gained 3 lbs,  up to 280 from 277.   Well, this is a new week , I graduated with a dual master's degree on Sunday...so that was even more eating...but today is Monday...it's a new week and a new phase in my life....Congratulations to all who didn't gain and to all of us who did...we can still do this...as long as we don't give up...much love...Gloria

  • Good  Evening Everyone,

I am new to this group. How do you get those weight tickers to put on the emails you have?  I want to add one. I started the diet Saturday evening. I weighed 157, I just weighed and I weight 154. I am trying to watch what I eat and excercise more.

    Thanks,

    Bev

  • Well...I am here to say how I did last week.  Whew!  No gain!!!  No loss...but that's okay.  Travelling on business is so hard!!!  The last two weeks I've done nothing more than eat, eat, eat...and eat foods that I normally wouldn't eat!  But, with the help of my new Wii personal trainer...I have been able to eat all that and maintain.  This week begins the return of normalcy of eating...at least for a few weeks then I have another trip to take.  But, here's my thought...if working out with the Wii in the morning and walking in the evening has helped keep the weight at bay...I feel excited and confident that within this week, since I'll have control back over my food intake, I'll see a weight loss on Friday.

Here's to a great week to us all!!!  Cindi

Evil Week.  I gained 3 pounds.
Hey what is up with that?? 3 pounds seems just impossible for me to loose, yet 3 pounds jumps on you. How can "3 pounds" be so inactive on one hand, yet so active on the other??  If you could gain 3 pounds that fast, how come I can't lose 3 pounds that fast?? I think we are living in a mean cartoon. ha.

  • Evil Week.  I gained 3 pounds.  Went to my moms and ate cookies.  Fast food on the run.  2 day conference.  Fast food again. No walking.

At least I walked again today.  Hope everyone else did better.

  • I am still the same, stuck. I've only 2 weeks left to my deadline, so I will just have to kick it up a notch .... or rather, really watch what I eat. I've committed to quizzing myself before every bite .... somewhere in there are enough calories to eliminate 3 more pounds (my goal). If postitive thoughts burned off calories, I'd be underweight. :)

  • Good afternoon everyone  I am so excited I am down another 3 lbs and withthe wedding last weekend and a pot luck good bye lunch I am very proud that I stuck to my diet I did have some really good mock Potatoe salad and a cauliflower and broccoil salad both of these are good low cal and very tasty hope that everyone had a good week

  • Good day everyone,

Weighed this morning.  Bad news, weight going in  the wrong direction.  Maybe I need a new scale.  Going to be HOT, HOT, HOT here this weekend.  Maybe that is a good incentive to drink all the water I need.

    More later.  Gail

  • Good Morning Aloha Ladies!!!!!  I hope that everyone has had a great week!  Today is our weigh in day...time to post how you are doing and then jump back over to our regular thread to have more in depth conversations about tips that work, give encouragement and support and just chat!!  So, here we go...

    Churchchipmunk / Cindi / Arkansas / 40 / goal weight 135

This week...well, not sure!  LOL  Actually, I am traveling so I don't have access to a scale.  I will have post my weight on Sunday.  But, I do have a successful week to report so far for exercise.  I am on week 2 of using the Wii Active and wow!!  I love it.  It is like having my very own personal trainer in my living room.  Week 1 was tough.  Parts of my body hated me and had me quite sore and walking like a duck!  haha  Week 2...much better.  Still feeling the burn...but no more duck walking!  I have learned, however, that you can do too much exercise.  The Wii Active workout sessions are about 35 min...but very intense.  I do this in the morning.  Then at night, I walk for 1 hour at a high intensity for cardio and calorie burn.  Too much.  Yesterday, I was so tired and my body didn't feel good.  So, in trying to do my morning workout, I just wasn't 100%.  So, I think that if I keep walking in the evening...it should be tapered back so that I'm not over working my body.  The good thing is that since I'm out of town, my body can have a break from the Wii Active for a couple days.  I will still be hitting the gym to workout on the elliptical to ensure I'm still getting my exercise in while I'm travelling.

I will say this...not sure what the scale will report...but I can say that the clothes are fitting sooooo much better.  So, I know that the Wii Active is having a positive effect.

Good luck to all and I'll catch up to you guys here on the weigh in when I get back.  Hugs and love to all!  Cindi
