  • Hi Mandy....well that sounds like a good plan you have going. I think I will try it. I know that will make things a bit easier on me. I appreciate your input. It was very helpful....all of you have been helpful. OOO I am excited. Can't wait to feel good again.

  • Hi Jill, Mandy Here I have been doing the slim fast durning the day along with other thing and I have been doing the lean cuisine for dinner along with a veggie and so far that has been working for me i know if we cook we will eat bigger portins i think the only thing I do cook is baked chicken *** thats about it   I do think that the lean cuisine has helped because most of the meanl are under 300 I think have tried just about all of them keep up the good work.....Mandy

  • Well thank you ticephotos and teri47. I heard the same thing about frozen dinners. lol. but I do cook alot for myself. And yes I have to be really careful about how big my portions are. I just use a pie plate to eat on instead of a regular dinner plate. Believe it or not, but that makes it easy for me to control my portion. When I finish my pie plate of food, thats it. But I have been seriously thinking about going the frozen dinner route. Thanks for your support and help. Good luck to you both. Have a great and successful week.

  • I have heard the same thing about the frozen dinners but, I am like you if I cook a meal I tend to eat more than I should.  I have trouble with portion control.  I did really well tonight since I cooked for three other people besides myself and and fed what would have been left overs because not much left to the dogs.  They were happy.  I only had the one helping and was able to stay within my calorie range.  I am trying to make sure I get at least 1200 calories because I think I have been going under and I haven't been losing.  So I am trying to up my fitness workouts and keep my in take where it should be to see if I will lose this week when I weigh in on Tuesday.  I do a 4 mile walk with Leslie Sanone and then usually take my dogs for 4 mile walk and do house work.  I don't know why I am not losing but, I am really trying to do everything I can to get back to the weight I was 8 years ago.  I think I have lost weight this week though because I am noticing more changing in my clothes and I tried on a pair a ski pants that I haven't fit into for about 3 years and I could get into them and move but they were tight.  Well, congradulations on finding a site where any little help on how to lose weight is always welcome!  Some of us need all kinds of support!   • Welcome!  I tend to take most advice from weight loss sites with a grain of salt but I have noticed that this site doesn't have the trolls or snarkiness that other sites have.  Everyone on weight loss sites are there for the same reason, but sometimes people tend to think their way is the only to do things.  I once had someone tell me that eating Lean Cuisines, Smart Ones or Healthy Choice frozen meals would prevent me from losing weight because of the sodium.  When I told them that the amount of sodium was comparable to most at home meals and that I ate them for convience because I live alone and don't see the point in cooking huge meals every night since I don't like leftovers, they got really bent out of shape.  Funny thing was, I lost more weight when I ate one of those every night then when I cook because I tend to eat more than a serving.  Haha.  Oh well.

  • I have recently joined 3 other health and weight loss groups. I posted several times. Even asked several times for buddies. This site is the ONLY one that had people willing to communicate. Couldn't believe the coldness of the other sites. This one seems better. And I am staying. I logged out of the other three and I am not going back. thanks for All of your support.
