  • My boyfriend is tall, thin as a rail, and eats like a scooby doo character. anything he wants, whenever he wants, packed with sugar and fat and msg. ugh. I'm also one of those people that can gain weight just by looking at food too closely. I've got about 50 pounds or so to lose. who knows, maybe when I get down that far I'll want to keep going. most of the weight I've put on has been in the past 2 years or so. luckily most of it is in my breasts and hips, so I have a nice shape all around, there are just a few more lumps than I'd like.

    be careful with the frozen dinners and stuff, the sodium content is horrifying, it'll make you bloat no question.

    you can totally stick to your diet. think strong, powerful thoughts. its all a mind game, seriously.

  • Hello. I am a 36 year old mother of 4. My weight is in my tummy area too---because of the kiddos. It's been really hard for me to stay motivated. The last time I got into the whole weight loss thing and actually lost weight i ended up prego with my 4th child (who turns 4 this month). Not to mention I got divorced and had to start working full time so I could feed my kids---stress has not helped me. I bought some of the slim-fast drinks today and some of the bars too. I like the website--looks easy and friendly for those of us that have a packed day.

    I wish you luck in this weight lose venture. I wanted to tell you about a great dvd workout that won't kill you. I use Leslie Sansone's Walk Away the Pounds. These workouts are great because they are low impact and they grow as you do. The more you do the more movement you'll be able to do. This would be a good way to kick start your workout routine while you wait to join a gym.

    I hope this helps you---I'm 5' 7" and weigh 229.

  • well i am going to be 30 this month and I want to lose weight more then ever. I have given birth to 2 children and am in a happy relationshim with my husband of 3 years. Joe is tall and skinny and i am tall and fat. he can eat whatever he likes and I gain weight off sunflower seeds it seems.

    We can not currently afford a gym membership as we are on our way to home ownership, but as soon as we get that first time homeowners tax credit I hope to get one!

    I went to walmart and bought slimfast bars, shakes and snacks yesterday as well as some frozen dinners. I worked out today for 30 min on the excersize bike and soon intend to do some housework.

    I am 5'8 and 210 pounds!! most of my weight is in the tummy area too so i look prego! I hope to kick off about 70 pounds by next August. yes that would have me at a thin 140 pounds. I will look great at that weight i think.

    Well I am off to take on the day...Hope I can stick to my diet!!
