  • Correction: I lost 5 pounds in the 1st week.

  • I am not good with diets, and I believe that I have found the one that works for me! My husband told me to pick a diet and stick because my diets are starting to get expensive...lol. I think that I will do well on this one. I found that they way I formatted the diet for myself helps a lot. When you to to the meal plan by week you can click on substitutes and get the complete list of suggestions for each meal. I printed out all of the suggestions for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks. I then narrowed those lists down to the things that I like specifically. I look at the list every night, and decide what I am going to eat the next day. Breakfast, snack, lunch, snack, dinner, snack. I feel that it gives you a great variety, and you can eat according to what you have a taste for. I also add the Slim Fast products in every now and then because they are included on the list. It is working great for me. Plus, I do not eat after 8 either. I also have started doing the Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred workout along with the diet. It has worked great for me. If I were you I would try this format because it works just as well. Plus, you are not literally starving yourself. It motivates and teaches you to eat healthy.

    Before I started working out with the diet I lost 3 pounds in the 1st week just by changing my eating habits. I have been on this diet for 3 weeks now, and I have lost 8.5 pounds.

    I am trying to lose 20 lbs too  a couple of things that i have been doing are.  In the morning i have my slim fast shake sometimes i put ground up flaxseed in depends on my mood. about an hour or two i am hungry again and i found a good protein bar from Special k .  It seems to hold me over till lunch and for a protein bar it doesn't taste to sweet like some of them do i usually get the peanut butter one,  Another thing i found is there is a free app on itunes  called lose it let me tell you this is the best program you type in your cal you want to stay under your weight and when you want to loose it by. then you put the foods in you eat for the day and it already knows how many cal is in each food , it keeps track of you foods you eat a lot. then you don't half to type them in again. It also has an exercise section and you put in what kind of workout you did and it subtracts the cal from what you ate. it dose many more things but that is the just of it . i love the program it adds it all up for me i don't always know how many cal food is so it helps. better yet the program is free.

  • Thanks for the encouragement and tips. I did a little better today, I decided not to worry about the food, and I wasn't as hungry.  I didn't get to excersise though, my allergies are horrible and I couldn't breathe. I guess if it's not one thing, it's another.

  • i am not hungry in between shakes only because i drink lots of water. about 2 liters a day and i snack on baby carrots. that works for me.

  •  Don't feel alone!!, I just started 3 days ago, but, I'm so hugry between shakes too!!!, my goal is  to lose 20 pounds too, and I'm 38 (that makes the loose more complicated), thanks for sharing, it's important to find people just like you....

    I have been dieting since I can remember, and I very obssesed, I'm the whole day thinking about weight or food. I've tryed SF before and worked, so I'm optimistic this time, I just need people to share, thank you!!!

  • I am so frustrated. I only lost about half a pound this week.  I just started with the Slim Fast shakes, but it seems like the harder I try, the hugrier I am. The first two days were great, I wasn't hungry between shakes, but now I am so hungry. I think that the more I think about not eating, the more I want to eat.

    I guess I just needed to vent a bit, thanks for listening. And hey, on the bright side, only 19 and a half pounds to go!  (My goal is to lose 20 pounds)
