Week 11 - May 31 to June 6 - Official Walking Challenge

  • Hi AprilDenise,

    I don't walk that much all at once, I go for my first walk at 5:30am for 4 miles with a freind, after i bring my boys to school i walk with my mom for 2 miles, then i go for other walks throughout the day if i can fit it in to my schedule. I use a pedometer i only wear it when i go for my walks i"ve also been walking more in town like to my boys baseball games or to the corner store,  why use the car i get good exercise and i save gas. I also worked myself up to this i started out out only walking a couple miles, i've been in the walking challenge from the first week. I sometimes go to my son's highschool to the track and walk, i don't use a treadmill mine is broken right now plus i like to walk outside better. I do feel great when i walk i believe that is my motivation to keep going plus i think i've bitten by the walking bug HA HA LOL!

  • How are you doing so many miles at one time,  I go to a track, just started this week, and One time around is One Mile, I started at 3 miles on Sunday and Mon/Tues I did 5.5 miles, then  yesterday I completed 6 miles....My shins are hurting and legs are aching but I plan to do another 6 miles this evening if it doesn not rain, but its in the forcast...Are you on a treadmill or outside on a track?  Its awesome that you can do so many miles at one time, I do feel better though and its only be a week...
