Anyone had success with Wii Fit?

  • I have it too, I am not sure how it works yet, but  you get more time as you do more things. My great niece has six minutes on somethings, 10 mins. on others and so on.

  • I personally love the wii fit. My husband and I bought it a few weeks ago and it works you out! I have so much fun playing the balance and aerobic games that I forget that I'm exercise, and I hate exercising. Everyday we walk 30 mins and then jump on the wii for the aerobic, strength, and balance work outs. I use the yoga for my cool down regimen. I love the Wii. I've decided to go and purchase Gillian Micheals workout for the wii, she is the biggest loser trainer. I can't wait to use it! Go Wii!!!!1!

  • Hi...I know what you mean my Wii fit is a fixture for everyone in the house, my 4 year old loves it and now my 2 year old wants to join in. I haven't named my Wii Trainer, but she looks like a Jodi (LOL). but if you still haven't found a Wii fit partner, I wouldn't mind having that extra motivation.

  • Hi, I am new to this forum, wow this types small.  Anyway, bought the Wii Fit (finally found one) and tried it yesterday.  OMG was it fun.  I did the hoola hoop (can only do one, can't figure out how to get the ones they through to you, keep getting hit in the head), soccer (hit in head with shoes), downhill skiing (that's fun but a lot of work getting through those flags), ski jump (fell once), running is fun.  I really love this thing have a problem with the step aerobics, can't follow directions very well.  LOL.  I think this would be great for people, a variety of things to do.  Good Luck to everyone that uses them.  Are there any buddies out there for Wii Fit?  I am 54 years old (will be 55 in April)?

  • Hi, I haven't bought the wii fit yet but, my daughter's boyfriend brought up his and I tried it out and I couldn't believe how much mucles I used while doing it.  I exercised for about 3 hours and didn't think I really exercised until the next morning when my mucles were screaming.  I tried everything and did a little of everything.  I liked the hula hoop for areobics and yoga for stretching I wasn't able to do much strength training.  Just so you know my exercise has consisted of just walking with Leslie Sanone on dvd and I have been doing the 4 miles every day except maybe one to two days a week.  But just using the wii fit for one day I found mucles I forgot I had.  I now want to get the wii fit but, have to find a way to fit it into my budget.  The boxing I wasn't to good at moving my feet and the punches.  Have fun with it.  I know I will when I can get one.  Teri

  • Hi, we got it about a year ago and at first if you are consistant with it everyday you will definitely loose the weight. As you progress, you will begin opening up other activities. My favorite activity is the Yoga and Boxing. You will definitely get the workout with the boxing. So keep it up. My kids love it...my four year old son asks everyday can he excerise. Get the whole family involved they will love it.

  • That is kind of funny that they would give you a hard time for using the wii fit.  My daughter's boyfriend brought up the wii so I could try it out but forgot to bring up the wii fit.  He thought I would like it to exercise to.  I am going to put one on lay away at walmart and pay so much on it a week until I own it.  I just can't see going out and spending all that much money when something might come up that I really need.  I am on lay off so until I get called back to work I am on a pretty tight budget but, I think it will spruce up my exercise routine.  I still plan on using my dvd's but when I am not feeling like a real work out I can play a game and still be moving.  I think that is the good thing with the wii.  You can't eat and play a game either so it keeps you busy.  I have a thing with getting bored and then wanting something to eat.  Have fun with it and the weight will come off and you learned to have fun doing it.  Teri

  • I am happy to see that there are so many people using the Wii fit. I have gotten a lot of flack for using it from my sons, co-workers, and especially my boyfriend. I let them get to me and stopped using it. But, not today! I am ready to workout with my Wii trainer, Sfen!(that is what I have named him..LOL) Hey, does anyone want to be my Wii fit buddy? Thanks.

  • I just bought a Wii and Wii Fit this past Monday and am absolutely addicted to the workouts. Its not only fun, but there's lots of variety. If you really want a good workout, do the aerobic exercises, particularly the runs. I love the runs, especially the long distance ones. You really work your butt off on those. Its a great way to stay in shape if you don't have the space for a treadmill, or don't want to spend the money on a gym membership. I highly recommend it!
