Hopefully everyone is keepingup the exercise! Have  agreat day!

  • Welcome Clashley25 and FyreSkye, your welcome to join in, the plan is not to just exercise for one month and then quit, the idea is to give a managable amount of time to try and form a new habit of working out, hopefully after one month not only will you have seen some results but also found a way to sustain a fitness  program that works the best for you! Sometimes it just helps to take the little steps and soon it all adds up!  Just note the day that you guys started and we'll go from there! Good luck with the first week!

    In other news...

I worked out on both Monday and Tuesday, 50 minutes of EMT (AMT?) and then about 20 minutes of weight/other each day, and it will be the same today, probably should add some stretching in there somewhere, but i only have so much time lol!

  • Hello! I'd Like to join as well. I'm awful with motivation for myself, but reading that you fell into a routine makes it seem like I may be able to as well.

7/5 Elliptical for 35 mins, 7/6 off, 7/7 Elliptical for 35 mins. I'm planning on working out today... just don't know what yet. Good luck to all!

  • No problem! Glad to here you've been keeping up on the exercising, i know its hard for people sometimes to get online! I have been keeping the workouts up, i missed about four days too (weekends mostly since the gym isn't/wasn't open) but have been feeling more energetic and have kind of settled into a routine which is nice : )

When it comes to weighing myself i only do it once a week on mondays, sometimes if i feel like i need a little motivation i weigh in the middle of the week and set myself a new goal for monday, so its not to bad, i just find it frustrating to be weighing myeslf every day, just doesn't seem as satusfying as doing it once a week. I've never tried measuring so not sure how that would work out lol My room-mate recently discovered a bunch of exercise videos on the netflix instant thing so i keep coming home from work to find here doing pilotes in the living room, kind of funny, but cool, probably going to try and use them next weekend as my exercise instead of the gym.

Hope you had a wonderful weekend and good luck with the week ahead!

  • Hi Kristen!!

Sorry it's been so long since I've been on here. I had 2 weeks where I had a hard time finding the time getting online. I did okay with continuing to exercise -- think I missed a total of 4 days during those 2 weeks. For the past 3 days, I've hit it hard again.

    7/2 - Zumba - 1 hour

    7/3 - Swimming (freestyle) - 45 min

    7/4 - Swimming (freestyle) - 15 min and Aerobics (light) - 20 min

I have GOT to finish this month (through July 31st) exercising every day -- at least 20 min. I really want to do it consistently for a long time...basically to prove to myself that I CAN do this.

Foodwise has not been great for awhile, but I've done much better over the last 3 days. I read the book, Eat This and Not That!, and have incorporated their top 8 "superfoods" into my daily consumption.

Kickboxing videos -- I love the ones I do but it's definitely a mix of aerobics and kickboxing I believe. Not sure if there are any with pure kickboxing. The ones I do are the Turbo Jams through Beachbody. My roomie has the videos.

Hope you've been doing well since last week when I spoke with you last! I hope to get online every other day at least from now on.

Another thing I haven't been doing is weighing myself. I was getting addicted to the scales. I decided to take a pic of myself every day in my swimsuit and measure every other week. I will allow myself to weight every other week too.

Have a GREAT 4th of July! Enjoy it!

    ~ Valerie

  • Its Tuesday and already i'm ready for the weekend! lol  Today i did elliptical for half an hour and weights for 20, i also have work tonight and its a retail job so its 5 hours walking around which counts sort of towards exercise i try and keep my walking brisk to make the most out of it.  Are there any kickboxing videos that you really like? I've done kick boxing before but its been more of cardio aerobics kickboxing, and i like the punching and kicking sort of kickboxing since i have a martial arts background, any suggestions?

    Have a great day!

    ~Kristen
