  • Have you tried putting Chrystal Light  in your water?  It is healthier than soft drinks and you get the water you need also.  They have to go packets now for bottled water (bottled water tastes better than tap water, you can buy drinking water in gallon jugs for less than 75 cents at Walmart, that is better than tap water too).

    I do exercises at home. Arm swings in circles, You can use canned fruit or vegetables for hand weights, or fill up a water bottle .  Hold them and do arm curls.  For your legs I hold on to the kitchen counter and do squats, side leg lifts.  I also sit in a kitchen chair and suck in my stomach and hold it a bit then let it out.  I do several reps of these and a few more I can think of from reading magazines.

  • Hey thanks for responding Erinlesleebell!  I appreciate your words of encouragement.  The day after I posted that message I bought a mini-trampoline and it comes with a kick-butt workout video!  30 minutes of cardio and 30 minutes of circuit training with cardio intervals. I discovered quickly that my balance is too bad for parts of the workout, so I got some balance improving exercise dvd's from my library. I already have a beginners yoga on reserve as well. I have watched The Biggest Loser many times and gosh, what stamina those people have. Makes me feel ashamed of myself. There are many exercise workouts on several fitness channels on our satellite package. I just gotta get me a yoga mat and begin!

    I lost an additional 2 pounds in the second week of my diet and I am over the moon. :o)  5 pounds in 2 weeks...I hope it keeps up like this.

    How is your diet going? Or workout? Lots of success I hope!

     

  • first i want to say congrats with the diet. i do better with exercising than diet. there are so many simple things you can do without any equipment. do you every watch The Biggest Loser? that's my fav show. i have a lot of the workout dvds. have u every tried workout dvds. they even have a yoga one. i luuuuuuuuv yoga and yes it works! the trianer bob on B.L. says to do some cardio is just getting your heart rate up and keeping it there. you can do something as simple and jumping jacks. running in place. u could even get a mini trampoline and dance with some fav music. do you have cable. some cable packages has a fitness channel that has workouts daily. i know mine does. good luck! any help i can provide just ask!

  • I live a completely sedentary life. I want to go out and walk, but I cannot go alone as I have epilepsy and my husband is afraid for me to be out alone somewhere. He works all day and does not have time to go with me. What can I do in the way of exercise at home? We have no exercise equipment nor the funds to get any.

    Does anyone do yoga or home aerobics? How is it working for you? I'd like to do that.

    Even though I don't exercise at all, I lost 3 pounds in my first week. I drink no water at all either. Hate it. I am sticking to a 900 calorie diet a day. Not having a problem with it. All healthy foods. I am a vegetarian as well.
