  • I agree with what Dwindle said. If you can't control yourself with a certain food don't buy it. That is what I do. If there is something that I can't limit how much I eat I don't buy it. I had that problem about month and a half ago. I had a hard time only eating 1 soft pretzel so I quite buying them. I more or less grounded myself from them. You have to think what would you tell or do to your sons if they were to eat like that. Well turn the table on yourself. Tell yourself the same thing.

I know it is hard. But if the food isn't in the house then it is easier not to go over board.

    Take care and stay focused.

Keep Smiling just remember it is exercise for your face.
  • I haven't bought that stuff in a long time but I found myself starving at the Food Lion.  Yeah, BIG mistake!!!!!!!

  • Hi ticephotos,

Late night snaking I hear ya... I have a suggestion for you though why even buy that food just don't if you don't have it in the house you can't eat it right! Instead buy only healthy food I don't know if you have any children I do I have 2 boys and a husband but, they know i have to do this i don't buy unhealthy foods any more it's also good for them to eat more healthy! Put that night behind you and move on to better days you can do it!

    STAY STRONG AND FOCUSED!

    Ann :)

  • I just admitted in another post that one of the reasons I gained so much was all my late night snacking.  I know how to control it now but even last night when I had planned out my entire day, had done wonderfully all day, I didn't eat my planned menu, instead I snacked on frozen appetizers all night.  I just did the math and lets just say that I went WAY over my daily calorie goal.  The funny thing is while I was eating, I felt fine but when I passed by a mirror and saw how bloated my stomach looked, I felt horrible.  It was just the push I needed to stop my night of gluttony.  Ugh.  I feel bloated this morning and who wouldn't?  I had (brace yourself!) a single serving pizza, cheesy bacon skins, poppers, quesdilla rolls, sour cream and a veggie tray with low-fat ranch.  Plus side, I got lots of veggies in and drink a ton of water since all the cheese made me thirsty.  Downside is I feel horribly guilty for eating all that.  I know it was just a weak moment and I can and will move past it, but I just needed to tell someone about my night so I can truly move past it and not fall into the trap of self-pity and forgoing all my success for more nights of fatty, greasy, heart attack in a box foods.

OK, time to move past it.  I'm human, I screwed up and today is another day!
