  • if you google zig zag diet....u can find the calculator.  It basically says to eat more on certain days and less on certain days and you trick the body somehow into losing more weight.

  • Hi,

What's the zig zag calculator? Shhhhh.....whisper, not too loud though ;) I wont be surprised if they delete a few of mine too. I went on and on about the P90X program.

    Elishia

  • That's the biggest problem for me to. Even more in the evening when I watch tv. they say that you can have one snack but I can't help my self then and I eat more snacks or the whole bag. For me the only way not to eat is staying busy. don't sit down! eat at the table and not on the couch in front of the tv. After diner do something with your hands: knitting, sewing, drawing, painting, writing, using the internet. I hope this helps you a little. I know it's really hard to beat the urge, but don't give up. It will get better when you can make it for a few days. It will get easier then. good luck

  • they deleted a number of my posts saying it was advertising....but, I don't think it was advertising...I was just sharing info.  Glad you got the zig zag calculator before they took it down.

    party poopers.

  • Thanks for the info. I calculated mine and I am way too low in calories. For my weight I should be eating 1700 cals per day. I'm having a problem with eating enough right now because I just finished pre-diabetic classes. My daily calories were dropped 300+ calories by the Dietition because I have to control my carb intake. I may just try this zig zag approach.

    Thanks again,

  • I agree with patend. Eating 3 meals and 2-3 snacks per day is the way to go. It really helps to keep you from feeling too hungry or dissatisfied.

  • Here's what works for me: I divide my total calories for the day by 5, which is the number of small meals I eat daily.  I start at 8 am and every three hours, I get another allotment of calories to "spend".  If I don't use them all at one meal, I carry the leftover calories to add to my next meal so I can have a bit more.  It helps me because if I want to go crazy and eat too much, I can convince myself that three hours isn't too long to wait and then I'll be able to eat again.

  • I have a real problem with overeating.  one could say that i am a compulsive overeater and/ior a binge eater. as that seems to be what i do best.  i try to control the urge to overeat but it sometimes doesn't work.  i try all the tricks, wait 10 minutes and see if you are still hungry/wanting to eat, drink water, etc. but the urge is so strong.  any one have any ideas of how to control this?
