I feel for you hope!! I drink so much coke and pepsi and tell myself its OK it is near impossible for me to stop eating sugar , like those ding dongs and one pack is never enough Well good luck staying off sugar !! I am new to this chat group and just learing to navigate. I am looking for friends to relate the up and downs of diet.

I am having horrible sugar cravings today.  Sugar is my addiction and I prefer it in liquid form.  Seriously half of my calories were previously coming from what I was drinking each day.  Very sweet coffee with creamer, sodas, more coffee, juice and even milk would suffice if nothing sweeter was handy. It was so easy to convince myself I was not overeating when I was drinking all the extra calories!  When I am sleep deprived, which is often, I crave caffeine and SUGAR in large doses to keep my body going.

I have been doing really well on my diet plan and weaned myself off of all the sweet beverages.  Unfortunately for me I am painfully allergic to artificial sweeteners, which means that I can’t even pretend I am having something sweet to drink by indulging in a diet beverage of any kind.  Not even sugar free gum!  After 14 weeks I am getting very tired of drinking water all the time.  Today I am exhausted, falling asleep at work and have been dying for a sweet cup of hot tea all day long.  Well, it is now 4 p.m. and after 5 hours of fighting it I finally caved in and made a cup of tea with 4 teaspoons of sugar. Yes, I said 4!  I wanted more but stopped myself there.   Well, I guess I just needed to vent a little.  The tea is helping but I probably won’t really feel better until I get a good nights sleep.
