  • It will definitely get easier! It takes a while for you stomach to shrink, then it'll take even less to fill it.

Maybe you should have a fruit with each of your shakes... I had to eat a little cereal with my shake in the morning when I started a couple weeks ago cuz only the shake wasn't enough to make my stomach satisfied for longer than two seconds.

  • I have those days too when I feel like I'm starving!! Hang in there! I bought a little calorie counting book and I find that the days when I'm the hugriest (is that a word? it shoudl be) are the days when I'm eating mostly empty calories and if I find I have some calories left to spend I try to think of what I can eat the most of without pushing my total over the limit. You should definately shoot for that 35g+ of fiber a day! It really, really helps.

  • Another thing that I do, is I buy those little 6 ounce cans of vegetable juice, grapefruit juice, and orange juice.  If I'm having cravings, I drink those.  They are very low in calories and they take my mind off of eating.  It's a good way to get some servings of fruits and veggies as well.

  • You go girl!  You're a lot more disciplined than me.  Drink lots more water, get plenty of rest and whenever you get the urge to indulge, get on the computer and write, write and write more!

Diets are full of hills and valleys.  Sounds like a hill for a short period of time.  After time, there will be more valleys than hills.

    Good luck

  • It really will get better just hang in there. I know that I have to make sure that I am eating EVERYTHING that the plan says to and I have to eat about every 2-3 hours or I'm really hungry and can't seem to get full. Then I waaay over eat. I also have to drink 8 oz. of water before and after each meal. I agree that you should be able to add extra fruits and veggies to what you eat each day, and it should be about a lifestyle change so that you can keep the weight off.

Be the change you want to see in the world!
  • You are not the only one! I am STARVING!!! lol :) This is just my opinion, but, I am going to start only substituting ONE meal per day starting tomorrow. Then move my way down to 2. The way I see it, the "bigger" you are the, the more calories your body requires. I need to lose a lot of weight. I just gained about 80 lbs when pregnant with my 10 week old daughter. Cutting my calories that much all at once is just too much for my body to handle. I am gradually going to start adding excercise too. (I couldn't excercise due to postpartum complications.) So if you are truly starving, eat more. I do agree with the others...eat veggies and lots of fiber, but sometimes that still is not enough. Your body is used to what it is used to. Have you read the meal options? Some people add a half sandwich with a shake for lunch, etc. That may be your route. Sliim Fast is supposed to assist you in losing weight, not starve you. TRY TO MAKE A LIFESTYLE CHANGE, NOT A DIET.

  • I remember how hungry I used to be when I was doing the Slim Fast shakes for breakfast and lunch.  Over the years, I've learned that the less breads and the more protein I have can help maintain my blood sugar levels and help curb those cravings for sweets and terrible hunger.  I'm still dealing with my night snacking even though they're healthy snacks, but my portions are way out of control.  Good luck on the hunger!

  • I dont see where you are getting fruit & veggies?  A lot of fruit/veggies are full of fiber and will fill you up...even if you have to eat more than the reccomended fresh fruit and veggies you will be ok ....you may have to include fruit/veggies with your snack bar... and make sure your dinner plate is full of veggies.
