    I feel your frustration.  It's scary being there, that's when I started having a really good breakfast.   Because I exercise a lot, I get hungrier obviously, so I make sure I have power protein breakfast.  Whether it be scrambled egg whites, with sauteed onions, peppers, tomatoes, mushrooms (you get the idea), or another one I like I call the "Banana Split breakfast."  It was in a Prevention magazaine last year:  One sliced banana, fat-free yogurt or PORTIONED peanut butter and 1/2 cup of Grape Nuts.  Tastes awesome and both of those gets your day started with a protein punch.

    If you're snacking all day, and after you have a good breakfast, try having a protein for each snack.  Like Turkey Rolls - Deli low-fat turkey meat, with sliced peppers, green onions, lettuce and a smear of mayonaise. 

    Start there and see where it gets you.  I know those above are the things I've used to help curb my hunger!

    I definitley know what you mean! IT's hard to stop once you start espically if you are in front of the TV or at work on the computer.

    What I have tried is to snack on veggies and light popcorn. It fills me up as well as gives me the fiber I need in my diet. My favorite snacks are the baby carrots, celery, sugar-snap peas in the bag, and popcorn which is the light kind. I also drink a large glass of water with my snacks to help curb my appitite.. it helps most of the time.

  • I feel your pain!  I'm exactly the same!  It's like a switch gets thrown and you just keep on shoveling it in.  I think there's a very real physiologic explanation for it, due to when you eat it really does make you feel better.  I am committed to finding OTHER ways to feel better instead of using food.  Know you are not alone!

  • your going to have to make a real effort to only have low calorie low fat snacks at home keep jello,fruits and veggies on hand ....pre pack 3 bags of daily healthy snacks and only allow yourself 3..

  • Its not easy we all know it.I just started but I really have to say I'm not hungry at all.Havent cheated maybe its cause I'm drinking more water this time or just knowing i have friends here who are going through the same struggle I am.So when you feel like cheating think of us all there with you maybe that will help.YOU ARE NOT ALONE GIRLFRIEND!
