  • The cool thing nowadays is that you don't have to give up everything anymore. If you are low carb, there are goodies out there for low carbers, so they feel like they are getting their sweets. If your watching calories, you have so many 100 calorie snacks avalible to you, its amazing!! You can have cookies, candy bars, chocolate pretzels, ect. Just enough to take the edge off.

Of sourse, I have just started my diet so I won't tempt myself, but if you've been on a diet for a while, you can totaly enjoy some treats without having to kill yourself making up for it later!

  • I completely agree!  Diets say you should completely give up the "bad" stuff, but I've found that endulging in something sweet or giving in to the smell of french fries and hitting a favorite fast food joint once and awhile makes dieting easier.  If you cut your self off completely from the stuff you love you are waaay more likely to go nuts and binge on it!  Also, after being good for a couple of weeks and then switching it up and getting a burger and fries or an icecream sundae (whatever your poison is) is quite the treat or reward.  You have to be "bad" once and awhile to make being good easier!  :)

  • I just started this week, and I have the SAME PROBLEM! But I think if i give in every once in a while to those cravings and have a couple chocolate covered pretzels or a payday instead of an apple as a snack, and I add 10 minutes to my workout, and leave off a couple bites at lunch, then it makes up for it maybe... We'll see how that works out for me when i go to weigh myself lol. But whats sad is my guilty pleasures are the Slimfast snack bars LOL! I eat one, and then 20 minutes later, there they are, staring at me from across the room and I have to fight off the urge to eat another. Guess its a work in progress!

Congrats on the 3 lbs, btw. Also, I think sometimes it is good to give into the cravings, because if you don't, then dieting is more of a chore, and it makes you quicker to give it up, than if you indulge once a week, and then are faithful the other 6 days. IDK, maybe thats just the chocolate talking. lol

  • Well  first , Congrats on losing 3LBS.!   I personally try to    find I healthier option that satisfies, my salty or sweet   or both, craving.I like trail mixes, with a combination of  dried fruits,  nuts and a little chocolate.Satisfies the sweet salty, and crunchy craving. It for the most part, quelches my cravings. But if the cravings are still beckoning,I try to figure out if I  can fit a small serving of what  I want in my calorie allotment for the day.Keep up the good work , Hope I was  of some help.

  • I did good my first week, I lost 3 lbs, but i still had some craving prob. and fell off the wagon a few times, any suggestions?  :)
