  • You are right thanks for the good advice..

  • If you have a choice, just keep sweets (or whatever your temptation is) out of the house.  If you must accomodate someone else (my mother bakes pies and cakes all the time), then eat some of it one time, compliment the chef (gift giver, etc.), and be done.  I can't live without sweets all the time, but I've found I can limit the times when I can eat certain things: I eat Christmas treats on Christmas, and when midnight of 12/26 rolls around, that's it.  You can also do what your mom always said- eat some extra veggies, and then enjoy your dessert.  The key is not to try to cut it out completely because you'll make yourself feel deprived which is a sure recipe for failure.

  • Good morning everyone..

    My husband and I just started yesterday..   We went over board on the holidays as I guess a lot of people did.. Sweets are our down fall. I found that to overcome the sweets after the holidays I packed up all the sweets and gave them to the neighbors..  Bad for the neighbors good for us :)  Oh some I just tossed out..Out of sight out of mind.. :) 

    With Valentine's Day coming I told my family I wanted flowers not candy..  What do any of you do to stay away from sweets?
