  • Ladies do not forget that while on this diet it is essential that you drink plenty of water.  The shakes can make you constipated as well.

  • I suffered greatly for years.  I tried everything!  You must eat real food.  Get a few spinach leaves

    and a carrot.  Put  in the blender. I have a mini food processor.  Blend it and eat it with a

    few saltine crackers.  Like a salsa. You must drink your water.  You are not putting real

    food in your system. Are you eating like the plan tells you to?  It's important to fuel the system

    on a regular basis.  You might want to get some wheat germ and put a teaspoon in your slimfast drink.  Any more than that and it's not tasty.  You can also make you a piece of

    wheat toast and put a little wheat germ on it.  I like mine with a bit of jelly.  I cannot stress

    the real food.  I ended up in the hospital from food poisoning at a restaurant.  The antibiotics they placed in me caused me big time problems.  It took seven years to finally get in

    straight.  The supplements cause the ph balance in your system to change and it will

    cause a bit of discomfort. Maybe it won't for you but it did for me.  Best wishes.

  • First, if you have chronic constipation, talk to your doctor about what you can do, or if there is an underlying medical issue that is causing this symptom.  

    If your doctor agrees to your following a high fiber diet,  I recommend choosing high fiber snacks on the plan (i.e whole grains, fruits, or vegetables), and making sure to include plenty of water each day as well.  You may even want to add additional fiber to your meals and Shakes in the form of Benefiber, or something of the sort.  

    I would also recommend engaging in exercise, as exercising can also help to promote regularity.  Please consult your physician before starting any new exercise program.
