    I usually do the drink by itself in the am since I've never been a breakfast person. Then a couple hours later a fruit snack,Then lunch either what is suggested in my meal plan or if away from home I choose very sensibly. Subway has some great salad choices and an Italian thats Fat free and very low cal. Mcdonalds even has a tossed salad I get that w/a yogurt parfait and am stuffed. Then a snack later of a veggie or fruit. And a sensible dinner. If eating out ask for the nutrition guide order a lunch portion and eat only half if it is still too high in fat/cals/or sodium. I've found if need be a fruit or 1/2 cup of healthy cereal or a yummy snack bar  up in bed watching tv is yummy...I feel like I'm getting away with murder. It's actually a ton of food. Key thing is to actually measure every thing that you consume. I count every tsp/tbsp/and cup of what I'm eating and log it on my meal plan.Oh and if there are things you like to eat. Put the info under DEFINE NEW FOOD in your meal plan and then just add it when you want to eat something other than what is suggested by SlimFast and the portion size. I have a LONG list of foods . It makes it so much easier to eat what I like and want just correct portions. I don't feel  trapped that way.KWIM??? I have lost 15 lbs since May28th and feel sooo much better. Am half way to my goal. I am eating way more than ever just WAY HEALTHIER!!!! Good luck. If you need a Buddy let me know.I haven't had luck finding one yet.Cheers:)

    The basic Slim-Fast Plan is as follows: Replace breakfast with a Slim-Fast Shake or Meal Bar.  For lunch, combine a Slim-Fast Shake or Meal Bar with 200 calories (i.e. half a turkey sandwich).  For dinner, you will dine on a Sensible Meal of approximately 500 calories.  In addition, depending on your current weight, you are allotted a certain number of fruits, vegetables, and/or 120-calorie snacks.  If you plan on following the diet differently, you should start keeping a food journal to see where the differences are.  It may even help to do a calorie count so you can see how much you are taking in each day.

  • i started my diet this monday its my first time trying the slim fast optima  diet that holds hunger up to for hours.in the morning i who have a shake and the snack would be oat meal,than for lunch i had spagetti and ground beef a slice of corn bread, and a bar  with a bottle of water for dinner i was wondering just have a lite meal and a snack, my question to you is that for the dinner snack do i still have to have a shake or a meal bar or i dont have to  have either or, and i wanted to know im i following  the the slim fast diet correctly please could you help me, thank for your assisting, the snack i have at nite is the special k cereal  is that ok also.
