    If you are overweight, losing just 5-10% of your body weight can improve your health and quality of life.  In fact, results of clinical studies showed that losing weight on the Slim-Fast Plan can help reduce the risk of heart disease by reducing cholesterol and triglyceride levels and lowering blood pressure.

  • I used to eat out at least 5 times a week, fast food mostly.  Even though I stopped that, now eat out at the most maybe once a week, my cholesterol still went up.  I was suspicious that my hormone pills may contribute as I didn't have high cholesterol until  after my hysterectomy.  The last couple of months I started drinking a glass of wine nearly every night, but found out that that isn't good for triglycerides. What else can I do? I don't want to take meds. Oh, and I hardly eat any red meat maybe once a week, some chicken, but lots of veggies and fruits.
