    As your doctor mentioned, if you eat too little, you may actually hinder weight loss.  This is because your body is trying to protect you.  Slowly adding in more calories, and spreading them out throughout the day will help your body to trust you again, and allow you to burn more calories.  The minimum number of calories that anyone should eat per day, without physician supervision, is 1200 calories.  Moreover, depending on your current weight and activity level, you may even need more calories than that.  If you are unsure of how many calories to have each day, please feel free to either post again with your current weight, height, and activity level, or call me at 1-800-SLIMFAST (754-6327).

  • Hi, I have been told that my body has gone into starvation mode by my Dr. I have been eating salads and Chicken or fish and I was not eating breakfast. I have gained so much weight and no matter what I do I gain.  I was told to eat small meals every 2 hours.

    My question is, am I going to gain more weight doing this? I find it hard to eat every 2 hours. What do I have to do to get things back in order to star loosing weight. Can you help me in this matter.
