    We generally only recommend the 1300 calorie plan for people who are under 140 pounds.  If you weigh more than this, you may need to increase your calories.  Also, since you do have diabetes, you should consult your doctor to address your individual nutritional needs.  Your blood glucose should be monitored so that medications can be adjusted if needed.

    With regards to time of day, you don't necessarily need to eat at the exact same time each day for dieting to be effective.  However, you should eat within an hour of waking up.  In addition, we do recommend eating every 2-3 hours from there.  That will help to prevent hunger and overeating later on, and it will also help to keep your blood sugar levels stable.

  • I am Diabetic and I just started the diet today. I'm feeling ok but still hungry. I am currently on the 1300 calorie plan and my question is: Do I have to eat at the same time every day for the diet to be effective?
