  • Does anybody agree with me, that the old website was much better?  It was very easy to use and you can enter a different food option and it would calculate  the nutritional value for you.  The site isn't very motivating like the old one

  • I, too, have given up on recording my meals on the new website.  I get an error message every time, so I have gone to another website for record-keeping. Even trying to save my exercise doesn't work.   I wrote Slim Fast to mention how it was not helpful to have all the old recrods gone as though I was starting anew, but I never got an answer.  Will use the products, but there is nothing here to help me with long-term portion and nutrition info using real food.

  • I just wanted to chime in that if you preferred the old Slim-Fast Plan and were having success with it, you can absolutely continue to follow that plan on your own.  The new Slim-Fast 3-2-1 Plan evolved from the fact that people were asking for an easier to understand weight loss solution.  The new plan will definitely help you to lose weight, but so will the old.  As always, thanks for all your feedback!

  • Thanks I was a little confused. I read the label and saw that it said to drink the shakes or meal bars with 3 small snacks.  Then I was reading (I guess now that it was the OLD plan) to eat a sensible meal with the lunch shake.  Thanks for clarifying that.  I have been eating two slices of 98% fat free turkey with a slice of cheese with my slimfast shake at lunch and it is so amazing how great I feel from lunch until dinner.  It really helps my cravings.  The turkey I get is from TARGET and it is 60 calories for 3 slices but I only eat 2.  It has been 5 days since I started my diet and I have lost 5 pounds. This is my first week so I am sure it just from not eating...all day!   I FEEL GREAT!

  • I have to agree with missk222.  I also liked the old plan better.  I am still having trouble figuring out the new one.  When I try to add my own "custom" foods, it never takes it; therefore, I can never use them.  I guess I can get used to the new plan tho.  I also wanted to add that I love fruit and vegetables.  Do I just include them in my 500 calorie meal and dinner time?  misssmom

    on the old plan [and in my opionion the best plan]   you could have something with your shake at lunch. It would give a shake AND an open face roast beef or a peanut butter and jelly bagel. I have always had the same thing for lunch. Slim fast shake with a toasted peanut buttter sandwich and I lose great. Don't think you should try to improve on something that is already perfect. THAT IS JUST MY OPINON ALI AND I KNOW YOU ARE THE DIETITIAN BUT I HAVE HAD GREAT SUCCESS WITH THE WAY SLIM FAST THE WAY IT WAS.

  • The new Slim-Fast 3-2-1 Plan was revamped to make the weight loss process easier - without needing to count calories.  On the 3-2-1 Plan, you replace 2 meals with Slim-Fast Shakes or Meal Bars (1 shake OR meal bar at each of these meals), have a Balanced Meal of approximately 500 calories at your third meal, and enjoy 3 Snacks (approximately 100 calories each) throughout the day.

  • The shake IS lunch.  The label on the can says: "choose 2 Slim-Fast 180-200 calorie shakes OR meal bars."  The shake or bars are to be eaten/drank for either your lunch and breakfast.

  • Everyone has been talking about how many calories they are allowed each day.  I am new to this and not sure how to figure this out.  Also, there are great snack and dinner options but, what is suggested to eat with the shake for lunch.
