    First of all, the fact that you were loosing 2 pounds a week is great!  It's not uncommon that every once in a while you have a week without weight loss or even with slight weight gain.  It's normal, and as long as you are continuing to follow the plan, weight loss should resume.  Possible reasons for the weight gain could be the minor surgery and lack of exercise, fluid retention (check your sodium intake), or it could just be a scale issue.  We recommend that you weight yourself once a week, on the same day, at the same time, on the same scale, in similar clothes for your most accurate weight loss history.  If you vary any of these points, your weight may be different on the scale.

    In the meantime, just keep up the good work, continue on the Plan, and when you are able, get back to exercising.  You will likely find that next week the weight loss will resume.

  • Well, I have just completed week 3,  was loosing 2lbs a week.  This week I gained 2, I have been staying within calorie range, actually nothing over 1300.  I make sure when I change any meal I stay within the recommend, carbs, calories, etc.  I know it is not easy to loose as we get older, but this is getting really discouraging.  I know my stomach has shrunk, I can't eat like before and have lost an inch on waist.  No exercise last week, had a minor surgery so I couldn't do much.  I even use a smaller plate when I eat..    What I need is HELP.
